Installing Shower Door Without Stud

Through the shower into the wall into a stud my problem is that i checked both walls and found out that the studs aren t lined up on both sides.

Anyway i couldn t for the life of me find studs behind the shower stall front walls. The glass is really heavy. If you re drilling into ceramic tile use a carbide tipped masonry drill bit. They will sit next to the stud but not be on it.

The vertical bar will be in studs but most of the weight is in two collars that site on top and protrude about 1 5 inches from the vertical bar. Install wall anchors according to instructions where there is no stud available. The shower is a one piece fiberglass pre fab shower. They had a shower installed a few months ago in their basement but were using a curtain.
